Alfonso John Riale

Alfonso J. Riale, Jr (otherwise known as Al or Junior), age 79, a resident of Cos Cob, CT, passed away on March 14, 2024 at Stamford Hospital.

Al was born on August 27, 1944 in Cos Cob, CT the son of the late Alfonso J. Riale and Mary

Cosentino Riale. He served in the US Army from 1969 through 1971.

Al was an Operating Engineer for the last 50 years - the last 10 years with Ralph Longo Construction. He was a life-long member of Local Union 478. Al enjoyed antique cars, participating in NHRA drag racing, enjoyed listening to oldies music, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.

Al is survived by his wife Mary Kennedy Riale. His daughter Karyn Riale O’Neill and her husband John O’Neill Jr. Stepson Christopher Kennedy and stepdaughter Shannon Kennedy Stone. His sister Marie Imbrogno Massafra and brother Nicholas Imbrogno. Grandchildren Cameron O’Neill, Trey O’Neill, Cameron Hurst, Collin Hurst, Conner Hurst, Ashlynn Stone and Dustin Stone.

Family and Friends will be received on Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 10am to 12pm at Lacerenza Macari Family Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT. Immediately after, All Family and Friends are welcome to attend the burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 399 North Street, Greenwich, CT.
