Anastasiya (born Ester) Leschinskaya passed away on July 29, 2023, at The Villa at Stamford.
She was born on December 30, 1925, in a small town of Ukraine, the third daughter of Josef and Hanna Leschinskaya.
Anastasiya survived the horrors of Holodomor and Holocaust. Her parents, one sister and younger brother were killed by German Nazis. Since she was 14 years old Anastasiya worked very hard. She graduated from technical skills school.
Anastasiya achieved a high position of a Postmaster through her incredible work ethics and talents in Moscow, former Soviet Union. She immigrated to the USA in 1990 and settled with her daughter’s family in Stamford, CT. For 17 years she was a dedicated volunteer at The Senior Service Neighborhood Service. For many years she was a beloved and much appreciated member of Lina Daycare Center. She is survived by her daughter, Irina, her son-in-law Nicholas, and her granddaughter Marianna. She also is survived by her nephew Yuri, his wife Iryna and their daughter Elizabeth. She predeceased by her sister Reveka.
Anastasiya was always conscientious and helpful to everyone around, very loving, kind and loved by many.
She was cremated per her wishes. The family wishes to thank all her friends, all her good doctors, and kind staff at The Villa.
