Angela Marie Caruso (Re Re) passed away peacefully on September 10, 2020 at 86 years of age. Marie was born in the Shippan area of Stamford, Connecticut on June 3, 1934, and was married to the late Joseph A. Caruso for the past 65 years. She graduated from Stamford High School in 1952, and worked at Schick, Inc. in Stamford, Connecticut on the Assembly Line. In later years she was self-employed as a Housekeeper. She resided in Norwalk for the past 46 years. Marie enjoyed playing softball on the company team and also bowled for many years on an all woman’s league. She also enjoyed playing bingo and participating in chair yoga at the Broad River Homes in Norwalk. She also loved to swim and being with her family on the weekends. She is pre-deceased by her husband, Joseph Caruso, her Father, Joseph Guglielmo and Mother, Antionette Rello Guglielmo, her brother, Joseph Guglielmo, Jr., (Jo Jo), her Father in-law, Thomas Caruso, and Mother in-law, Marion Filardo Caruso, in addition to her brother in-laws, Felix and Anthony Caruso. She leaves behind her brother, Frank Guglielmo and her brother in-law, Thomas Caruso, her daughter, JoAnn Caruso, her daughter, Linda Hegedus, her son in-law, Michael Hegedus, and her son, Joseph Caruso, Jr. she had four grandchildren; Joseph Caruso, III of Freemont, Nebraska, Jessica Caruso of Louisville, Kentucky, Elaine Hegedus of Stratford, Connecticut, and Thomas Dobensky of Wolcott, Connecticut. She also leaves behind her sister in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for both Angela and Joe Caruso on Saturday October 3, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford CT. They both will be laid to rest at St. John Cemetery in Darien. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marie’s memory can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
