Angelina Alfosina Santasiero, (Sister- Angie), 91 of Stamford, CT passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.


Angie was born on August 25, 1931, in Greenwich, CT, the daughter of the late Carmella and Michael Angotto.


At the age of 16, Angie left Greenwich Public Schools to support her parents. Due to this, Angie began her career in the printing industry. She worked at Conde Nast and Thrush Press for over 30 years. There she met and made many lifelong friends.


Angie was happiest when she was with her family and friends. She was an excellent cook and was known for her famous meatballs. Her door was always open no matter what time of day. Angie was always ready to whip up a delicious meal for anyone who walked through the door.


Angie was a member of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary where she enjoyed dinners, events, and meetings. She continued to connect and form everlasting friendships.


Angie is predeceased by her beloved husband Nicholas Santasiero of 54 adoring years, her loving daughter and son in law Jo-ann and Johnny Avalone, her brothers Michael Angotta (Happy-Jockey) and Anthony Angotta (Sonny).


Angie is survived by her daughter Jennie Kemp, her Son Joseph Nicholas Santasiero Sr. and daughter in law Sarah Santasiero. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren Billy Kemp, Dennis and Tina Kemp, Kelly Kemp, April and Julio Palma, Joseph and Danielle Santasiero Jr., Caitlin Santasiero, and Melanie Santasiero. As well as her Great Grandchildren Kayla Kemp, Brandon Palma, Braulio Kemp, and Chase Palma.


Funeral services will be held on August 10, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Lacerenza Macari Family Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford CT. Mass will be held on August 11, 2023, 10:00 a.m. at St. Leo’s Parish, 24 Roxbury Road, Stamford CT. Burial will immediately follow at St John Cemetery, 25 Camp Avenue, Darien CT.


The family wishes to thank Angie's daughter Jennie Kemp who was also her caregiver and provided Angie with so much love and care. We are forever grateful for your kindness and dedication to your mother.
