Anthony D. Castrataro

Anthony passed away on Saturday April 24, 2021 in the Bronx, NY. He was born on November 23, 1941 in Brooklyn, NY to Dominic and Anita Castrataro, both deceased. After graduating from high school, he served in the U.S. Airforce from 1960 through 1964. Then he worked several decades in retail management, first with E. J. Korvette then Caldor, Inc. Tony next worked as a chauffeur, first for a livery service then as the personal driver of the CEO’s of Thomson Media Group and later Thomson Reuters. He was very active in sporting activities. He especially loved the game of golf and spent days at his favorite golf course Sterling Farms in Stamford. He was preceded by his brother in law Felix Racaniello and his brother Nicholas Castrataro and survived by his loving wife of 53 years Barbara Ann Castrataro, two brother in laws, James Racaniello, Jr. and Michael Racaniello, a sister in law, Barbara Castrataro and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Lacerenza Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT on Thursday, April 29, 2021 from 5 pm until 8 pm.
