Anthony Dominick Cogliandro “Tony Coy”, 90, a resident of Stamford, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on March 19th at Stamford Hospital.

Anthony was born on October 11th, 1933, in Stamford, Connecticut, the son of the late Vincenzo Cogliandro and Mildred Medurga Cogliandro. He graduated from J. M. Wright Technical High School with a degree in printing.

Anthony worked as a printer his entire career, during which he became co-owner of Goodway Printing & Graphics in Stamford, where he worked as an offset printer until his retirement.

Anthony discovered music at a young age and grew to become a polished clarinet and tenor saxophone player, until he ended his career at 85. For decades, he lead and played jazz in a number of small and big bands, under the name of Tony Coy. His music touched the lives of many, as he played at countless weddings, dances and other events.

Anthony is survived by his daughter, Denise Cogliandro, his sister, Anita Russo and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Anthony is predeceased by his sisters, Sadie Battista, Rose Capparelle, Jane Sabini, Sylvia Testa and brother, Domenico.

Family and friends will be received on March 26th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Lacerenza Macari Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT. A funeral mass will be held on March 27th at 11:00am and Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue. Burial will immediately follow at St. John’s Cemetery, 25 Camp Ave., Darien, CT. (Enter on Hoyt St.).

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses on Stamford Hospital’s 7th floor, for their compassionate care during Anthony’s final hours.
