Anthony M. DiPietro “Dee”, 89, a resident of Stamford, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2023, at his lifetime home in Stamford, CT. He was the son of the late Anthony M. DiPietro and Josephine (nee Sabia). He is survived by his beloved wife, Marie (nee Williams), devoted father of Donna (John) Knuf, Tony (Debbie) DiPietro and Frank (Carol Lea) DiPietro, and devoted grandfather of 7, devoted great-grandfather of 8, and the dear brother of the late Joseph DiPietro.

Tony Dee graduated from Stamford High School and shortly thereafter joined the Army where he served as a paratrooper. After his service to our country, he became a very successful entrepreneur and opened up Westover Service on West Ave in Stamford. There, he served the public for 50 years. He also had a passion for working in his yard, planting flowers and keeping the yard landscaping beautiful.

He was unconditionally dedicated to his wife of over 68 years and his family. After his retirement, Dee and Marie lived in both Stamford and Florida. He was an amazing loving husband to Marie, as they grew old together. He lived life “His Way.”

He was loved and will be greatly missed by all. Rest in Peace.

There will be a Mass of Christian burial at St. Leo’s Roman Catholic Church on 24 Roxbury Road in Stamford at 11:00am on Friday, April 21. Entombment will follow at Putnam Cemetery, 35 Parsonage Road in Greenwich.
