Carmen Olga Mozca, 53, a resident of Stamford, CT, passed away peacefully, at home surrounded by her loved ones on July 21, 2024.

Carmen was born on March 28, 1971, in Lima, Peru, the daughter of Lidia Robles and the late Nicolas Mozca. She was in a Catechist at her local church, Santa Rosa in Lima, Peru where she met her loving husband, Angel. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree from IDAT. Shortly after she came to America in the year 2000, where she started her beautiful family with husband Angel Rivadeneyra. She loved her friends and family very much and it always brought her so much joy to be surrounded by them. Carmen loved to dance, take photos to capture every memory possible, and took amazing care of her plants daily.

Carmen is survived by her loving husband Angel Rivadeneyra, and her children Brenda Rivadeneyra (Christopher Aguilar) and Angel Rivadeneyra. She is also survived by her loving sisters and brothers Mirella Rivera, Javier Mozca, Enrique Mozca, Claudia Mozca, and Renzo Mozca who she loved dearly.

Besides her father, Carmen was predeceased by her grandparents Olga Gonzales, Antonio Mozca, Carlos Robles, and Maria Silva.

She battled cancer for four years and was lovingly cared for by her family and friends. Their care and devotion for her was incredible. She will forever be grateful for all the support given to her when most needed. The family would like to thank Stamford Hospital Bennett Cancer Center and the Palliative Care team for all the support and care in the last 4 years.

Family and friends will be received on July 25th from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Lacerenza Macari Family Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT. A funeral mass will be held on July 26th at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Ave, Stamford, CT.

Carmen had a goal of celebrating her 25th anniversary on July 17, 2024, and thankfully was able to do so.

“Gracias a todos por estar aquí en estos momentos.

Que todos estén bien y que no dejen de verlo a Ángel o mis hijos. Yo se que no va ser fácil superar, pero no difícil, hay que estar fuerte. Los quiero mucho.”
