Clementina Prizio Boccuzzi, 93, a resident of Stamford, CT, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 31, 2025, at Stamford Hospital.

Clementina was born on April 19, 1931, in San Mango Sul Calore (AV) Italy, the daughter of the late Tommaso Prizio and Domenica Ottaviano Prizio.

Clementina worked in the cafeteria at Stillmeadow Elementary School for over 25 years where she was loved by all the students and staff fondly known as Clemmy. In 1970, she moved to America with her beloved husband and children after being convinced by her family to stay while on vacation. Despite not knowing the language and having left everything behind, they sought a better life in America. She enjoyed spending time with her family and devoted her life to their welfare and happiness. Holiday meals were always her favorite because it meant her busy family would be all together, making her homemade pasta to ensure that the meal was extra special. Having all her family close, spending time and making memories was very important to her. She loved to cook and there was nothing she loved more than sharing her family recipes, especially the traditional delicacies of her hometown. Often hosting cooking classes with her grandchildren to teach them how to make their favorites like pasta and cookies.

She was a dedicated parishioner of Sacred Heart Church. A devoted follower of the patron Saint Teodoro of her hometown in Italy, where her and her husband were involved for many years in organizing the annual feast. She was a very faithful person and would not let a single evening pass without praying the rosary. Her power of prayer was often called upon by many to help rid them of the evil eye.

Clementina is survived by her five children Pina (Mario) Gentile, Marilena (James) Forte, Dora (Tony) Groccia, Sal (Stephanie) Boccuzzi, Nella (John) Gonzalez, her fourteen grandchildren, Tony (Kerri) Gentile, Marco (Jessica) Gentile, Mario Jr. (Melissa) Gentile, Jennifer Forte, Steven (Rachel) Groccia, Melissa (Tom) Balestracci, Danielle (Evan) Morton, Christina (Ryan) Borsari, Jason (Angela) Gentile, Lexi Boccuzzi, Silvio Boccuzzi, Allie Gonzalez, Matthew Gonzalez, and Michael Gonzalez, her thirteen “plus” great grandchildren Alana, Anthony, Nico, Dante, Daphne, Chris, Joey, Savannah and Gabby Gentile, Chase and Zoey Balestracci, Leo and Cal Groccia, her brother Jerry (Sandra) Prizio, and sister-in law Elena Boccuzzi, along with numerous nieces and nephews all over the world.
