David (Dave) Joshua Edwards, passed away on April 24, 2024 at his home in Riverside, Connecticut.

Dave was born on October 17, 1961, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Dave is survived by his son, Soren, his son’s mother Christine Torres, his brother Jim Edwards, sisters Jan Edwards and Sally Edwards, sisters-in-law Michele Mass and Sally Thompson, brother-in-law Marios Fourakis, nieces Eva Fourakis and Hazel Edwards, nephew Stelios Fourakis, cousins Judith Allen, Mae Kessler, James Kessler, Sara Carlson, and Leigh Remy. Dave is predeceased by his parents, Charles and Lois Edwards.

Dave graduated from the University of Southern California with an MBA. He spent much of his career in the wellness industry, working with a variety of businesses on strategic planning and financial and business development. While he had a strong command of facts, he had an even bigger sense of people and how to work with heart. He was extremely creative and saw possibilities that others did not. He was fearless when it came to meeting people and would approach anyone of any level to talk about an idea or develop a business relationship.

Dave knew how to be in the moment. He loved to swim, bike, run and ski and participated in several Ironman triathlons in recent years. He also loved playing the guitar. As a young person he enjoyed adventuring to many remote parts of the world. Dave was a spiritual seeker. He was raised in a secular Jewish family and as an adult embraced tenets of Christianity. He greatly valued time with his family and friends. He loved a stimulating dinner table conversation and was not afraid to express views that differed from others. Above all else, Dave loved his son Soren and nurtured him in his passion for running as well as many other activities.

A gathering in Dave’s memory for family and friends will be held on May 19th from 11 am to 2 pm at the Asnes Barn at the Greenwich Audubon Center, 613 Riversville Road, Greenwich CT 06831. Please park at the upper/main parking lot and walk down the paved path directly to the red barn.
