Dorothy P. Crockett

Dorothy Palmer Crockett, 97, passed away on January 21, 2022 at home surrounded by her family. Dorothy was born on March 2, 1924 in Greenwich CT, the daughter of the late Samuel P. Palmer and Doris Wunderlich Palmer. She graduated from Greenwich High School and The Laboratory of Merchandising in New York City. Dorothy was a buyer for Macys in NYC before becoming a homemaker and mother. She enjoyed traveling, dining out and shopping with her family and friends. Dorothy is survived by her three daughters Lisa Duddie (Tom) of Stamford, Abby Tuttle (Doug) of Harwich, MA and Gaye Joyce (Bill) of Norwalk as well as her cherished grandchildren John Tuttle, David Tuttle, P.J. Duddie, Catie Joyce and Larry Joyce, her nephew Richard Palmer and great nephews Robert Palmer and Timothy Palmer. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her twin brother Paul Palmer, sister in law Phyllis Palmer, niece Linda Palmer and nephew Tim Palmer. A celebration of her life will be celebrated in the summer by her family in Cape Cod, her favorite vacation spot. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ASPCA or a charity of choice.
