Fortunata Tripodi

Fortunata Tripodi, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, February 15, 2021. Fortunata was born on January 27th, 1934 in Porticello, Reggio Calabria, Italy to Giuseppe and Giovanna Bellantone. She was predeceased by her husband Giovanni Tripodi, her beloved son, Joseph and brothers Giuseppe and Antonio Bellantone. Fortunata moved to the United States in 1970 where she began working at Exclusive Bridal Shoppe in Greenwich, CT as a skilled tailor. In 1973, she worked for Grade A Market for 40 years until her retirement. She truly loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends. Above all she dedicated her life to her beloved family. She is survived by her daughter Felicia, husband Joseph Lofaro, daughter in law Josephine Tripodi , and five grandchildren: Peter, John and his wife Alexandra, Jessica, John, Fortunata , two great grandchildren Mila and Elena, brother Giovanni from Australia, sister in law Domenica, Alfredo Tripodi and wife Susana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday February 20 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church in Stamford. Burial will follow at St Mary’s Cemetery, Greenwich.
