Giuseppe Joseph Tripodi

Giuseppe Tripodi of Stamford, CT, passed away peacefully at his home on November 22, 2017 surrounded by family. Giuseppe was born in Villa San Giovanni, Italy on July 9, 1956. He was 61 years old. Giuseppe worked at Grade A, Sal's Pastry Shop and Bus Transportation for Stamford Public Schools for many years before his retirement in 2015. He is survived by his loving wife, Josephine, to whom he was married for 34 years. His son John Tripodi of Stamford; daughter Fortunata Tripodi of Stamford; his parents Giovanni and Fortunata of Stamford; his sister Felicia Lofaro and her husband Joseph of Stamford: nephews Peter Lofaro and Johnny Lofaro and his wife Ali; niece Jessica Lofaro of Stamford. Also surviving are also many uncles, aunts and cousins. Family and friends will always remember Giuseppe for his smile that brighten up a room when he walked in, his kind heart and how he would put anyone before him. His delicious pastries and his passion for hunting that he taught his son John, who will carry his legacy. Giuseppe will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Calling Hours will be held at Lacerenza Funeral Home 8 Schuyler Ave in Stamford on Monday November 27, 2017 from 3pm-7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday November 28, 2017 at 10am at St. Mary’s Church 566 Elm Street in Stamford. Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Greenwich.
