Helen Ann Buchetto (nee Greco), 99, of Stamford, CT passed away on June 23, 2023 at The Residence of Summer Street.
Helen was born on December 14, 1924 to the late Frank and Caroline Greco, Sr. She attended the Stamford Schools.
Helen was a homemaker and enjoyed playing the mandoline, singing, dancing and spending time with children, grandchildren and long time friends. She will be remembered most for hosting large family dinners to celebrate Christmas Eve each year. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church Rosary Society and also previously volunteered at Saint Camilla’s Nursing Home in Stamford. She spoke fluent italian and loved her Italian heritage. She traveled to Italy of numerous occasions to visit extended family.
Survived by brother Frank Greco Jr; children Rocco Buchetto (Karen); Roxine Samela (Nick); Denise Ritter; Donna Sullo (Carmine); Robin Funoli (Ray); Richard Buchetto (Christine); Renee Hammershoy (Jay); Ronald Buchetto (fiancee Kristen); 18 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren (Ava and Peyton Richards) and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Helen is predeceased by her husband Rocco G. Buchetto, Sr; parents Frank and Caroline Greco, Sr; brother James Greco; sister Marie Greco; son in law Jay P. Ritter; grandson Michael Camiglio.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2023. Calling hours are from 9am to 11am at Lacerenza Funeral Home followed by 11:30am mass of Christian burial at Sacred Heart, Schuyler Ave. Interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park, Oaklawn Ave, Stamford.
