Jose “Joe” Ricardo Vivona, 67, of Stamford, CT, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday November 15, 2022 at Stamford Hospital.
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina on July 20, 1955 to the late Francesco and Elena (Tallarico) Vivona, Joe was a radio personality and host of “Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow”, a trilingual (Italian, Spanish, English) weekend broadcast that spanned over eight years in the 1990’s. Joe also worked for Pitney Bowes for 15 years. Joe loved many things but his passion was dedicated to his vintage convertible cars, and most of all, his loving family. Known as the family comedian, you were always in for many laughs when Joe was in the room. Joe would light up the room with many smiles through his story telling and jokes.
Joe is survived by his wife Elizabeth Vivona and his two daughters, Michelle Vivona and Lauren Vivona, and his sister Alicia (Vivona) Labrosciano, of Stamford. He is also survived by three nephews; Michael Labrosciano, Dennis Labrosciano, and Sergio Labrosciano; and many cousins. The family wishes to thank the amazing doctors, nurses, and staff at Stamford Hospital for all their efforts, dedication, and commitment. Calling hours will be held on Saturday November 19,2022 from 9am-11am at Lacerenza Funeral Home 8 Schuyler Avenue in Stamford with a prayer service to be held at 11am at the funeral home.
