Joseph C. Macchio 73, entered peacefully into the arms of our Lord on May 12, 2024 after a lengthy illness. Joseph was born in Stamford, Connecticut, on June 20, 1950, to the late James and Rose (Vavala) Macchio. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his loved wife Debra whom he loved to dance, socialize and explore the outdoors with. He is also predeceased by brothers John Anthony, Nicholas and James and sisters Marie Chandler, Grace and Joanne and brother-in-law Tony Sabia and sister-in-law Mary Jane Aquirre Macchio.
He is survived by his brothers Salvatore and Robert and sisters Rose Sabia and Catherine. He is also survived by his nephews Sal (Liz) Anthony, Marc (Toni) David, Ernie, Bob (Vera) and Nieces Lisa (Jared) Anne (Dan), April and Doris and 11 grand nieces and nephews.
A catholic mass will be held at St, Mathews in Norwalk, CT on Monday May 20th, 2024 at 10:00am and interment at St, John Cemetery in Norwalk following the mass. There are no calling hours but friends may visit the family at the church prior to the mass. There are no flowers but donations can be made to St Jude's Children Hospital or a charity of your choice.
