Joseph Frank Vagnone, 66, formerly of Stamford passed away peacefully on March 6, 2022 after a short illness. Joe was born in Stamford on June 18, 1955, he was the son of the late A. Michael Vagnone and Alice McCormick Vagnone. He graduated from J.M. Wright Technical School in 1972. A lifelong resident of Stamford Joe was a Plumber by trade, he was a member of Locals 311 and 777 working for various contractors until he opened Vagnone & Son Plumbing and Heating with his father in 1983. Joe is survived by his two sons, Joseph F. Vagnone, Jr. (JJ) and Michael J. Vagnone, a granddaughter Aurora, his three sisters, Deborah Accurso, Lorri Tamburro and Michele Vagnone and brother-in-law, Ronnie Tamburro. He also survived by his nieces and nephews: James Vagnone, Yvonne Elder, Yvette Williams, Nicholas Mazzucco, Amanda Norman, Jenna Norman, Ian Accurso, Raven Tamburro and Ronnie Tamburro, Jr. In addition to his parents, Joe was predeceased by his brother, Sgt. Michael J. Vagnone and his stepmother, Stephanie Vagnone. A funeral procession will be leaving the Lacerenza Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 12th for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Burial will follow at St. Johns Cemetery, Darien. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, March 11 from 4 PM. to 8 PM.
