Justa "Tita" Diaz, age 87, a resident of Stamford, CT, was called to heaven on 12/31/23

Justa was born on 10/19/1936 in Galicia, Spain

the daughter of Dalmacio Palmeiro Exposito and Carmen Diaz Garcia.

Justa came to this country on 12/21/66, where she worked very hard to make a life for herself and her daughter.

Justa was blessed with very close relationships with all her family and enjoyed telling them funny stories from her past and hearing their funny stories in return. She took great interest in their lives, prayed for them daily, and offered words of wisdom.

Justa always enjoyed a good laugh and had a wonderful sense of humor. She came to have a special affection for the family pet: Mylo. She received so much joy from the simple things in life, going for walks at the beach and going to church.

She was incredibly devoted to her family and kind person. Even though she didn't know you, she struck up a conversation with you. She had many friends riding the CT Transit busses every day.

Justa is survived by her daughter, whom she loved with her whole heart: Emma Diaz and her husband , Angel Acevedo, of Stamford,CT. who were by her side till the very end. She leaves behind her only grandson, whom she cherished greatly, Tony Rivera as well as his wife Sindy and her great-grandchildren Nevaeh, Jordan, Natalie, and Nick.

The family would like to thank the Stamford Health doctors, Dr. Joshua Lader, Dr. Mina Owlia, Bennett Center nurses, and Dr. Jamie Stratton.

Friends may greet her family on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Lacerenza Macari Family Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT

Burial services will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Spring Grove Cemetery, Post Road, Darien CT.
