Laura Barzetti

Laura Lee Lomurno Barzetti, 62, of Norwalk, CT, passed away July 13, 2023, after an

over decade-long, courageous battle with cancer.

Laura was born on June 23, 1961, to parents Nancy Tomassi Lomurno and Salvatore

Lomurno in Mt. Vernon, NY, and went on to study at Berkeley Secretarial School in New

York.

After graduating, she secured her first job at National Distillers, starting a 42-year career

in the field of legal administrative support. She worked for Silgan Holdings Inc. as a

Legal Administrative Assistant until she retired in 2022. She enjoyed reading, movies

and the theater, fine clothes, travel, food and wine, music and art; but most of all she

loved time with her family and friends who were everything to her.

Laura was predeceased by her father Salvatore Lomurno, her maternal grandparents,

Emily and Joseph Tomassi and paternal grandparents, Lena, and Louis Lomurno. She

is survived by her mother Nancy Lomurno Lupo, her brother Louis Lomurno, stepfather

Paul Lupo, many cousins, aunts and uncles. She was godmother to Domenick

Gasparro and Jana Saber.

Laura was a bright, shining light, known for her loving and caring personality as well as

her quick wit and humor. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Calling hours will be held on August 13, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Lacerenza

Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford CT, with church services on August 14,

2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Basilica of Saint John the Evangelist, 279 Atlantic Street,

Stamford, CT.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Bowery Mission or St.

Jude Children’s Research Hospital in her memory.
