Louis L. Briscoe

Louis L. Briscoe, Jr. passed away peacefully on January 21, 2024, after a brief illness.

Louis, also known as Junior, was born on September 29, 1942, in Stamford, CT. He was a father, brother, and “Pop” to his grandchildren. He owned Briscoe and Sons Automotive for many years. After selling the business, he continued to work in the automotive industry until his retirement. He took great joy in spending time with his family, watching NASCAR and working on his 1939 Ford. Louis was a former member and officer of Gateway Antique Auto Club and member of the Ford V-8 Club. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is predeceased by his parents Louis Sr. and Marie Briscoe, sisters Patricia and Dorothy, former wife Kathleen and wife Donna Armell Briscoe. He is survived by his sons Michael (Tracy) Briscoe of Stamford, Robert (Wendy) Briscoe of Florida and David (Karen) Briscoe of Stamford, as well as his grandchildren Samantha (Christopher) Quinlan, Stephanie Briscoe, David Briscoe Jr. (DJ) and Chloe Briscoe and his great-grandchildren Ava and Christopher Quinlan Jr. He is also survived by his sister, Joan Journalist, companion Mary Lou Williams and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the Autumn Lake staff involved in our father’s care for their attentiveness and dedication.

The family will gather at Lacerenza Macari Family Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT on January 26 from 4-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 27 at 10 am at St. Matthew’s Church, 216 Scribner Avenue, Norwalk, CT. The family requests that everyone assemble directly at the church. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, 223 Richards Avenue, Norwalk, CT. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
