Lucille Ann Grasso passed away peacefully on July 28, 2022, surrounded by loved ones after succumbing to complications from Dementia. Born to Angelo and Nettie Sagnelli on May 3, 1932, in Stamford CT, Lucille (NuNu or Nuch to those who knew her best) lived her life with an enormous amount of love and commitment to family. An only child, she created an extended family that she held dear and who encircled her for most of her life. She resided in Stamford until moving to Ft Myers, Florida to embrace her golden years. She split her time between Florida and Connecticut for the next 15 years before finally relocating back to the Fairfield County area where she spent the rest of her days. Lucille leaves behind four children, ToniAnn, Lisa, Ralph and Ellen and their families which include seven grandchildren, Christopher, Cori, Zachary, Catie, Michael, Jake and Maggie who cherished her as their “Meema”. Although the last few years of Lucille’s life were challenging, she was lovingly cared for by family, friends, and the staff at Jewish Senior Services in Bridgeport. Donations to the facility would be a lovely remembrance of her in lieu of flowers. Lucille’s wake will be held at Lacerenza’s Funeral Home in Stamford, CT on August 12th between 11 and 1 with her burial immediately following at St John’s Cemetery in Darien, CT.
