Margarita Collazo

On Thursday, April 30, 2020, Margarita Tirado Collazo, loving mother of fifteen passed away at age 89, in Stamford, CT. From her birth to her death she nourished the people around her with love, faith, and food; her traditions will be lived for generations to come. Margarita was born in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico to the late Manuel Tirado and Francisca Narvaez on November 27, 1930. Margarita was preceded in death by her husband, Santiago Collazo; her sons, Andrew, Sandy, Victor and Jose; her daughters, Migdalia and Diana. She is survived by her nine children, Ana, Mercedes, Andrea, Ruby, Gilbert, Jackie, Aigsa, Carmen, and Kathy. She also leaves behind a countless number of grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Due to the current Covid pandemic, services and burial will be private. A memorial will be planned for a future date. The Collazo family would like to extend our gratitude to the Lacerenza family and staff.
