Nicholas "Bing" Boccuzzi

Nicholas Theodore Boccuzzi “Bing” age 90 a lifelong Stamford resident, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2023, surrounded by his family at Stamford Hospital. He was born on November 19, 1932, to the late Jack and Susie (Catino) Boccuzzi.

After graduating from Stamford High School, he went on to serve his country in the United States Army in 1953. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved being with his family and friends. He enjoyed playing golf, cards, cracking jokes and telling endless stories with his smile that would light up the room.

He is survived by his loving children; Nick Boccuzzi (Nicky) of Stamford, Karen Pensiero of Stamford, and Steve Boccuzzi (Wendy) of Norwalk, his treasured grandchildren; Tara Pensiero (Stratford), Anthony Pensiero Jr (Stamford), Sean Boccuzzi (Norwalk) and “Little” Anthony Pensiero (Stamford). Also surviving is his loving sister Elvera Zurkowski.

Besides his parents Nicholas was predeceased by his beloved wife Marie (Romanello) Boccuzzi , sisters; Ida Fiordelisi (Jerry), Ann Gospodinoff (Steve), Grace Boccuzzi, Mary Boccuzzi and brother in law Henry Zurkowski.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday January 5th, 2023, from 9:30am-11:30am at Lacerenza Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Avenue Stamford. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 12:00pm at Sacred Heart Church 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Burial will follow at ST. John Cemetery, Darien.
