Orlando Velez

Orlando Velez, son of the late Eleuterio Velez and Liduvina Velez was born on May 4, 1959 in Stamford, Connecticut. He departed this life on November 7, 2020. Orlando was preceded in death by his loving father, mother, and his beloved brother Walter “Coco”. Orlando attended public schools in Stamford, CT. He worked in the construction industry for many years. He also enjoyed working as a landscaper and created beautiful fishponds and other landscape designs. He was a “straight shooter” never wavering who he was. His personality was infectious, and he was loved by family and friends. Orlando leaves to celebrate his memory; daughters - Cassandra “Cassie”, Bethany “Vanessa” and Sylvia; sons – Orlando Jr., Angelo, Ivan and Felix “Junior” 17 grandchildren, siblings - Waldo, Dwight, Jose, Angel, Alexandria ,Emily, Gladys, Florez, Marizol and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Calling hours will be Friday, November 20, 2020 from 11: 00a.m to 1: 00p.m at Lacerenza Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902. After service, procession to cemetery will follow at Woodland Cemetery, 66 Woodland Pl Stamford CT, 06902. The family wishes to extend our heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love.
