Patricia A. Sullo Macari, a lifelong Stamford resident, passed away with her family by her side on October 23, 2024, at the age of 68. She was born on March 13, 1956, and was the daughter of the late Alfred and Antoinette Caruso Sullo.
Patty graduated from Westhill High School and from Southern Connecticut State University. She worked as a school teacher in Stamford and as a clerk at the Cos Cob post office for many years. Throughout her life, she was known for her perfect attendance at every Westhill High School and Ithaca College softball game and for being a loyal Yankees, Jets, and Rangers fan.
Patty married her beloved husband, Paul, sharing 38 years of marriage and a devotion to their many family and friends. She is also survived by her loving daughter and son-in- law, Allison and David Klein, her brother Alfred Sullo Jr., many dear nieces and nephews, and her best friends Mary Sabia-O’Donnell, Cindy Lopiano, and Mona Spinelli – affectionately known as the “Crows”. Patty is predeceased by “Crow”, Mary Martinelli.
She is remembered by everyone for taking countless pictures at all vacations, family gatherings, and sports outings. Selfless and devoted, she was always there with open arms, ready to celebrate our triumphs as our biggest cheerleader. She had a heart of gold, always quick to share and offer a helping hand or a listening ear, making sure everyone around her felt valued and loved.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Francesca Montanari and her staff along with her special caregivers Rosa and Joy. We are forever grateful.
