Paul M. Anderson

Paul M. Anderson passed away on April 15, 2020, in Stamford, CT due to complications from Covid-19. He was an only child born to the late Melvin and Malvern (Trask) Anderson in Worcester, MA on May 8, 1941. He is an alumnus of Clark University, having earned both undergraduate and MBA degrees there. His career spanned over 40 years in business management with Warren Pumps, New Britain Plastics, Textron/Lycoming in Stratford, CT and later Honeywell in Phoenix, AZ. During his “retirement” he enjoyed 15+ years in the outside garden department at Home Depot in Scottsdale, AZ. Paul played baseball and basketball through his college years and was an avid life-long Boston Red Sox fan who also loved the Celtics, Patriots and a good game of cribbage. He especially enjoyed singing doo-wop and loved spending time with family over his favorite meal of hotdogs and rhubarb pie! He is survived by his three children: Cheryl Elliot and husband, Michael and their daughters, Meaghan and Molly of Westport, CT; Jeffrey Anderson and his wife, Susan, and their daughters, Chelsea and Madeleine of Nashville, TN; Kristen Anderson and her son, Kristofer of Groton, CT. Paul is predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Gail Rita (Garland) Anderson and his loving in-laws, Edward and Anita Garland. Burial will be private at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton on Saturday, August 28, 2021. A memorial luncheon will follow in Sturbridge, MA.
