Queen Mccullen was born in Elizabeth City, North Carolina on May 29, 1950. She entered Heaven’s gates on April 7th, 2020. Queen was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends, most especially over the holidays. Queen was a happy and cheerful person, with a great sense of humor. She was also very objective, reasonable and had very good judgement, even when she was stubbornly defending her own opinions. She played a major part in the community as Stamford, CT finest Board of Representative member for the 5th district in 2007. Up until she passed, Queen kept busy and volunteered as Resident Council President for Ursula Park Town Houses through Charter Oak Communities and worked part time at Mother’s Little Helper Day Care caring for children. Even after her retirement, Queen was a very ambitious woman. She may be the only women you have known to go back to college after she retired. She loved to learn new things and challenge herself. When she wasn’t working (Lord know she loved to work) she was all about her family and making sure they knew about Jesus and the church she and her whole family grew up in, The United House of Prayer for All People. She taught her children and grandchildren the power in prayer. Queen Elizabeth McCullen was the rock to many people and although her body can’t be seen in the flesh, it is in our teaching that she is still present in spirit. She was a devoted loving mother, and above all, the best grandmother and great grandmother ever. Queen had two daughters Teresa A. Mccullen and Odessa Q. McCullen- Murphy, 1 son, Maurice McCullen, 9 sisters and 2 brothers, 12 grandchildren, Erica Linen, Taiyanna McCullen, Christopher McCullen, Maurice Johnston, Nychelle McCullen-Murphy, Teresa Levester, Jonathan McCullen, Aiyanna McCullen, Tyrece Burgess, Elijaah McCullen, Gabriella Williams, Steve Williams, and 11 great grandchildren with 1 on the way.
