Richard D. Greco

Richard Donald Greco passed away at his home in Bridgeport, CT on March 5th, 2025.

Richard was born in Stamford on November 3rd, 1946, son of the late Joseph T. Greco and Emanuella (Cicarelli) Greco. He is survived by his brother James and nephews Michael, Joseph and his niece Deborah along with their families.

He was predeceased by his brothers Joseph and Edward.

Richard grew up on Stamford's West Side and graduated from Stamford High School (1964) where he excelled as a varsity football player. He attended the University of Connecticut at Storrs and graduated with a B.S. In Chemical Engineering (1969).

His career included working in business and individual sales for trade shows and conferences in the US and Europe.

Rich was an active golfer, skier and a staunch supporter of the UConn men's and women's basketball teams. He was a music lover of all genres and enjoyed attending live concerts whenever possible. He loved to travel in New England, visiting friends in Maine and Vermont and family in Massachusetts.

He had a curious mind and loved to visit bookstores to discover new books. He was always ready to discuss new ideas. He was an adventurous soul, a friend to many and will be missed.

The family requests that donations be made to a charity of one's choice.

The Lacerenza Macari Family Funeral Home, Stamford, CT will be handling the arrangements.

Memorial Services will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Ave, Stamford, CT on April 5, 2025, at 11 am.
