Ronald G. Walters

Ronald George Walters, Jr., 53, also known by his nicknames RJ and Squid. Passed away on January 30, 2022, peacefully at Stamford Hospital. RJ was born on December 24, 1968, in Stamford, CT. He was the son of Ronald Walters and Marilyn Cunningham Walters. RJ is survived by his mother Marilyn, his wife Simone and daughters Jamie and Rebecca, along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Family meant everything to RJ. He is predeceased by his father Ron Walters and brother and best friend Daniel Walters. His passion in life was music. He received his first guitar at age 7, became a brilliant guitarist, and was a founding member of Jump the Gunn, a Fairfield County Country Band, for 5 years. He enjoyed collecting guitars, buying CDs, and going to concerts. RJ also looked forward to NASCAR Season and attending races with his brother Dan. He briefly lived in Wyoming and after moving back to Stamford, CT, he was eager to make trips back out to connect with his cousin Kevin and family. He looked forward to revisiting with the mountains that brought him so much joy. RJ was lucky to have life-long friends. His friends knew that the party was about to get going when he arrived with his guitar. He loved to laugh and his wit, sense of humor and kindness was something his family and friends will cherish forever. Services will be private.
