Shirley Mae Reed, affectionately known as Big S, and the "Benjamin Lady, 61, a resident of Wesport, CT. Went home to the Lord on December 3, 2022.
Shirley was on born January 1, 1961, the daughter of the late Annie Mae Housey Duncan and Jeff Reed. Shirley went to schools in South Carolina.
She spent over 30 years caring for others, in the Healthcare field as a Certified Nurse's assistant. Shirley enjoyed traveling back and forth to South Carolina. Her biggest pastime was going to the Casinos. Shirley would hit big, and share...Shirley actively gave money to charities, such as St Jude, and Boys Town.
Shirley was predeceased, grandparents Richard and Corneila Housey, and her son Corey Reed.
Shirley leaves behind two sons Ronald Graham, Larry Peltrop and son in law Travis Smith. Two daughters Cynthia Graham, Shirley " Lil Shirley" Reed, and daughter in law Mychelle. Her grandchildren Chaise Daniels, Davieon Reed, Yahmir Smith, November Smith, and London Bennett. Also 4 great-grandchildren. Her sister Gloria Duncan, Williemae Duncan, Marie Duncan. Host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Her companion Rudolph Laurel, and longtime good friend Emily Thompson.
Funeral will be held on Tuesday, December 13th, 2022 from 3-5PM at Lacerenza funeral home, in Stamford, CT.
