Thomas Peter Meehan

Thomas Peter Meehan passed on September 4th, 2023 at age 73 in Sarasota, FL. Tom leaves behind his beloved daughter, Kristen Comeau (formerly Meehan), five grandchildren Sean Meehan, Ethan Meehan, Ewen Meehan, Luka Thomas Comeau, and Ava Comeau, and sister, Ellen Meehan. He is predeceased by his son, Brian Meehan, sister, Catherine Meehan, mother, Jean Montaperto, and father, Thomas Meehan.

Born on May 19, 1950, Tom’s childhood was full of fond memories in Harbor View in Norwalk, CT— a place that sparked his love of adventure. Tom cherished his time on his boat and motorcycle, taking to the Long Island sound for overnight trips to Port Jefferson, and to the roads for rides throughout North Stamford.

Education was of the utmost importance to Tom. From starting his own company, Meehan Financial LLC, to holding his CFP designation, to mastering pilot school in order to conquer his fear of flying. Tom’s knowledge and wisdom will be irreplaceable.

A man of class, a leader, and a passionate guide, Tom would share his wisdom with anyone who would listen. He was incredibly well-read and enjoyed the New York Times every day, from cover to cover.

Tom loved his home and poured countless hours into making his property his own private oasis. He took great pride in what he achieved.

Spending time with his children and grandchildren lit up his life. Tom fiercely loved his family and will be dearly missed beyond words.
