Carmella M. Socci a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away peacefully on February 10, 2018 at the Stamford Hospital. She was born on September 15, 1922 to the late Luigi and Rose Carella. Carmella worked as a seamstress at Carlton Deb Coat factory. She was a member of the Rosary Society, an avid reader and a lifelong New York Yankee fan. She enjoyed to volunteer, especially at the St. Leo Carnival. Carmella is survived by her three children Angela Socci Scicchitano (Luigi “Gino”), Patricia Socci Klemets (Ralf), Dave Socci (Rose Watson). She is survived by six grandchildren, seven great –grandchildren. Carmella is pre-deceased by her husband Rocco Socci, her sisters; Angelina Malizia, Antoinette Malizia, Lena Buzzeo, her brothers; Richard Carella, Anthony Carella, Gerald Carella.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday February 14, 2018 from 4pm-8pm at Lacerenza Funeral Home 8 Schuyler Avenue in Stamford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday February 15,2018 at 9:00am at Sacred Heart Church 37 Schuyler Avenue in Stamford. Burial will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery.
